Privacy at Shops
Shops is operated by Shops. This page describes how the web app handles your data.
Shopping lists and family sharing
Your browser stores a local copy of your list for offline use. When you sync, item names, quantities, priorities, archive/deletion records, device identifiers, and update timestamps are stored on our servers and shared with members of your family. Network connections use HTTPS in production. Lists are not end-to-end encrypted.
Accounts and payments
Stack Auth handles sign-in and profile information. Polar handles checkout and payment details. Shops stores your account identifier, family membership, and subscription identifiers and status to manage access. Shops does not receive your full payment-card details.
Optional analytics
With your permission, PostHog receives feature-use events and your account identifier. Our feature events do not include shopping item names. Screen recording and automatic interaction capture are disabled. You can change your choice at any time.
Manage analytics preferencesCopies and deletion
Deleting an item hides it from the list. A deletion record remains in the sync log so it is not restored by an offline device. Server snapshots and browser backups can retain previous data. Removing a family member prevents further server access; it cannot erase copies already downloaded to their devices.
For help with access, export, or deletion of account data, contact support. Clearing browser storage removes the local copy and may discard edits that have not synced.
